A mountaineer on his way to the peak feels hungry. From
where is he supposed to get food? He doesn’t have his loving mom and that ‘ghar
ka khana’ He pulls out a cup of ready to eat noodles, pours in some warm
water and the lip smacking snack is ready!
Let’s start with blowing up certain myths.
Myth number1, people think that
the quality of packaged food is compromised with. I would like to state that
the quality of all these products is taken care of very seriously. The hygiene
is looked after and the products are under stringent controls complete with the
AGMARK sign.
Myth number2, we think that the
ready to eat packages are costly. In simple words—they are not!
Packaged food is very convenient
and is easily available in every grocery store. It serves to people from different
age groups --- from pregnant mothers to small kids to sportspersons, all with
different nutritional requirements.
Today everybody is busy 24x7 and don’t
have much time for themselves. Our work keeps us so engrossed the whole day so
from where are we supposed to find out the time to cook? This is where packaged
food comes to the rescue. It is a one time cook dish. Empty out the contents in
a pan- let it cook- and the box is disposable. It is a boon for people who have
just started to cook. But, that’s not all; it is a blessing for housewives as
well. Suppose a guest arrives unannounced, what do you do? You bring a ready-to-cook pack, cook and
serve it.
“Do minute mein khushiyan deni waali
meri maggi” is a messiah for all. And if you think all I am talking about
is junk, then think again! What about buttermilk, probiotic drinks and the
soybean products available in the market? They are the healthiest of all!
Packaged food is a savior for our
soldiers on the borders, rangers on Antarctic missions, and the army men in
Siachen—worlds highest battleground.the
The milkman of India Verghese
Kurien laid the foundation of India’s cooperative dairy model. He made possible
a fair- priced pouch of high quality milk available at your doorstep every morning,
or otherwise we would still be standing in front of buffaloes with a bucket in
our hands.
They’ve made road trips easier. In cases
of emergency like floods packaged food saves the lives of thousands of people.
Plus, it is tasty and there is no pretence
in that!
Thus, packaged food is a
necessity and not a trend and is a blessing for all!!
